⚖️ Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
Grade 3 Physical Science — Quick Reference Card
Big Idea
Balanced forces cancel out. Unbalanced forces cause motion to change.
Key Vocabulary
- Force: a push or a pull
- Balanced: equal forces that cancel out
- Unbalanced: one force is stronger
- Motion: movement
- Evidence: what you observed in a test
Remember This
- Balanced does not mean “no forces.” It means the forces match.
- If one force wins, the object's motion changes.
- Use what you observed as evidence when you explain your answer.
